Disaster Recovery (And Business Continuity)
Virtual Server Capability
Sometimes servers fail. And when they do it can often mean days to repair or days to purchase and configure a new server. But what do you do if your business depends on that server to function? Our onsite device has virtualization capabilities, so that when your server does fail, we can “stand it up” on Iron Gate until the replacement is in place. You get a temporary server that provides service so seamless, that your employees won’t even know that they aren’t working on the “real” server.
Full Server Restore
Iron Gate's backups are block level snaphots of your server, which means that an exact copy of your server is taken. So if your server fails, it's a quick process to rebuild.
Bare Metal Restore
It gets even more complicated in the situation that your existing server has kicked the bucket and must be replaced. Working with dissimilar hardware often adds more time and frustration. Iron Gate gives you the ability to perform a bare metal restore, which means you can put an exact copy of your server (prior to the crash) on the new hardware.
Critical Disaster
While it might be the farthest thing from your mind, occasionally buildings/offices are destroyed. And even though the chances are pretty slim, Iron Gate will keep you prepared. In the event that your onsite NAS device is destroyed, we will overnight a new device with the previous night’s image to you. With Iron Gate, you know you have access to your data no matter what.
File/folder/email restore
It happens. An important file, folder, email message, or email contact is accidentally deleted. Most restores performed through Iron Gate are to retrieve this type of data. And the beauty of having backups running so frequently is that you can pull the file (etc.) in the exact version it was no more than 15 minutes ago.
